Placement
Within each programme, there are courses that require students to complete a placement (e.g., Practicum, Community Service, Internship). These placements allow students to gain supervised, practical experience.
Requirements Before Placement

Lecturer Role Setup

The supervising lecturer must be assigned the Placement Supervisor user role.

To assign:
a. Go to Administration → Edit User
b. Search for and select the lecturer
c. In the Other Roles section, tick the checkbox labelled Placement Supervisor
d. Save changes

Tagging the Course as a Placement Course

Go to Training → Placement Manager

Select the Courses tab

Choose the course from the course bank listing

Mark it as a Placement Course and click Save
Placing a Student

Go to Training → Placement Manager

If an institution has requested a student, you can add a placement request.

Otherwise:

Go to the Placement tab

Use the filter to locate the student

Click Place next to the student’s name

Complete the placement form and click Add a Request

Select the added request and click Save
