Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) – User Setup Guide

Once your institution has enabled MFA in iSIMS, you will be required to set up your preferred authentication method the next time you log in.

Step 1 – Login

  1. Enter your username and password as usual.

  2. You will be prompted to configure MFA.

Step 2 – Choose an MFA Option

You will be given three options to complete your MFA setup:

Option 1: Email Verification

  • Select Email.

  • A one-time code will be sent to your registered email address.

  • Enter the code on the verification screen.

Option 2: Google Authenticator

  • Download the Google Authenticator app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

  • Select Google Authenticator in iSIMS.

  • Scan the QR code displayed on the screen using the app.

  • Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app.

Option 3: Microsoft Authenticator

  • Download the Microsoft Authenticator app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

  • Select Microsoft Authenticator in iSIMS.

  • Scan the QR code displayed on the screen using the app.

  • Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app.

Step 3 – Confirmation

  • Once your code is verified, MFA setup is complete.

  • You will be required to use the chosen method each time you log in.

?? Important:

  • Do not delete or uninstall your authenticator app after setup.

  • If you lose access to your MFA device or email, contact your system administrator for assistance.
