Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) – User Setup Guide
Once your institution has enabled MFA in iSIMS, you will be required to set up your preferred authentication method the next time you log in.
Step 1 – Login

Enter your username and password as usual.

You will be prompted to configure MFA.
Step 2 – Choose an MFA Option
You will be given three options to complete your MFA setup:
Option 1: Email Verification
Option 2: Google Authenticator

Download the Google Authenticator app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Select Google Authenticator in iSIMS.

Scan the QR code displayed on the screen using the app.

Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app.
Option 3: Microsoft Authenticator

Download the Microsoft Authenticator app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Select Microsoft Authenticator in iSIMS.

Scan the QR code displayed on the screen using the app.

Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app.
Step 3 – Confirmation

Once your code is verified, MFA setup is complete.

You will be required to use the chosen method each time you log in.

Do not delete or uninstall your authenticator app after setup.

If you lose access to your MFA device or email, contact your system administrator for assistance.
