Grades Verification and Ratification

Overview

This document outlines the steps for verifying and ratifying grades in iSIMS.

  • Important: Grades must be entered using the onscreen or Excel methods.

  • Note: Migrated grades are automatically entered as ratified grades.

  • We recommend against using the Grades Migration option, as it does not allow detailed grade entry.


Grades Verification

Steps

  1. Navigate to Training → Verify Grades.

  2. Select the Semester, and if necessary, the Programme Offering and Campus.

  3. Click Select next to the grade sheet you want to verify.

  4. Review the grades.

    • Untick any grades you do not want to verify.

  5. Click the Verify Grades button.

Tip: Use Show Grade Details to view detailed information about the grades entered.


Grades Ratification

Steps

  1. Navigate to Training → Ratify Grades.

  2. Select the Semester, and if necessary, the Programme Offering and Campus.

  3. Click Select next to the grade sheet you want to ratify.

  4. Review the grades.

    • Untick any grades you do not want to ratify.

  5. Click the Ratify Grades button.

Tip: Use Show Grade Details to verify the details of the grades before ratification.


Adjusting Grades

If grades need corrections, follow these steps:

Manual Grade Adjustment

  1. Navigate to Training → Enter Student Grades.

  2. Use filters to locate the grade sheets:

    • Recommended: filter by Lecturer.

    • Alternative: filter by Course.

  3. Click the Grades button next to the course.

  4. Check the Manual Grade Entry checkbox.

  5. Make the necessary adjustments.

  6. Click Save.

Excel Grade Upload

  1. Navigate to Training → Enter Student Grades.

  2. Click the Download Gradesheet button.

  3. Open the spreadsheet in Excel (2008+ recommended).

  4. Make the necessary adjustments.

  5. Save and upload the spreadsheet to the same page.

After making adjustments, you can proceed with the verification and ratification process.
