Lecturer Portal Quick Reference Guide

Access: Training > My Courses


1. Viewing Class List

  • Default tab: Lecturer Timetable

  • Adjust filters (semester, course) → Click Class List

  • Icons on the list:

    • ?? Not financially cleared

    • ?? Added to Moodle

    • ?? Cross-registered student

    • ?? Resitting student (click to view previous grades)


2. Sending Emails

  • Options: Single student or Bulk communication

  • Compose message and send directly from class list


3. Grade Management

Grade Setup (if required)

  1. Go to Grades Setup tab

  2. Enter number of coursework pieces and weightings

  3. Save

Enter/Upload Grades

  • On-screen: Enter directly in the grade sheet

  • Excel:

    1. Download grade sheet

    2. Fill offline

    3. Upload back via Grades Upload

Submitting Grades

  • Click Submit Gradesheet after reviewing

  • Notification sent to HOD/next department

  • After submission: Only new students or missing grades can be modified

Key Points

  • Verify course version (code, credit, weighting)

  • Check grading scale under Grading Scheme tab
