This module is designed to integration iSIMS with the institution Active Directory (AD) to accomplish a single sign-on facility and to assist with the management of the student Active Directory account. This module is mainly to integrate iSIMS with AD and by extension integrating with Office 365 for email account creation and authentication.
This module will be able to accomplish the following tasks:
? Automatic creation of students AD account once accepted to the institution. This account is then sync with Office365 for the creation of the student email account. The email is created by iSIMS to ensure that no two person have the same email account
? Single Sign-On facility, student will be able to log into iSIMS, Office365 and any computers that is on the same domain using the same username (email access) and password
? Password reset – student will be able to update their password using and application and it will be replicated to all the other applications
? If a student AD account is locked, they can use iSIMS to unlock their account
? Disabling a student account – if a student account is locked for security reasons, access to all application is disabled
? Assigning all students to a default User Group and OU within AD so that the necessary permissions can be applied to them automatically

This module speaks directly to managing student account in Active Directory but also capable of performing the following functionalities for staff:
? Single Sign-On – staff will be able to log into iSIMS using their AD account
? Creation of Account in AD
? Locking staff account from iSIMS
? Optionally, you can allow staff to manage their AD account from within iSIMS. this include resetting password and unlocking their account
