iSIMS/iCMS/CCCJ Integrated Grade sheet

With the implementation of the iCMS and iSIMS systems, we have decided to combine all versions of the CCCJ grade sheets into one. The systems are configured to adjust the grade sheet based on the course the grade is being inputted for, such as standard, practical or Oral. All the critical fields will be completed by the system. These critical fields are:

·         Course Code

·         Course Name

·         Course Weighting

·         Name of institution

·         Name of Programme

·         Name of Specialization if applicable

·         Name of the lecturer

·         Academic year and semester

In addition to the fields above, the lead lecturer for each course is required to enter the weighting for the various pieces of course work and the maximum score for each exam question. This is to eliminate making errors when entering grades on the grade sheet or on the system. If two lecturers are teaching the same course, each lecturer MUST give the same amount of course work pieces using the same weighting, which was entered by the lead lecturer. Each lecture mark their course work out of whatever value (max score) they choose to marks it out of.

The total and letter grade columns will not be calculated if the any of the critical fields are blank. Institution not using the iSIMS are needs to ensure that all the critical fields are completed. Please note that The ID and Name column are considered critical fields as well.

The number of spaces on the grade sheet is adjusted by the system based on the number of students who are registered for the course.

The sum of the weighting breakdown for all coursework pieces MUST equal to the overall coursework value or 100. Example, if the coursework weighting of the course is 50% and the course carry 4 coursework pieces then you may have the following breakdown:

Breakdown 1:    CW1 = 10,            CW2 = 10,            CW3 = 10             CW4 = 20

Breakdown 2:    CW1 = 20,            CW2 = 20,            CW3 = 20             CW4 = 40

Practical Course

The practical grade sheet is divided into four (4) sections, they are:

·         Coursework Theory Grades

·         Coursework Practical Grades

·         Examination Written Grades

·         Examination Practical Grades

You are expected to have a grades for all four sections. If a grade is missing from at least one section, the final grade will not be calculated. Similarly to the standard grade sheet, you are required to enter the maximum score for each piece of coursework

The sum of the weighting breakdown for all coursework pieces MUST equal to the overall coursework value or 100. Only a max score value is required for the various examination section of the grade sheet except for the examination practical column which requires a max score
